Christian Pulisic, a Chelsea and USMNT player, was featured on last week's episode of Premier League Uncut. Top players are briefly interviewed and fans offer questions in this weekly feature. This one was hosted by Ben Black, who got Pulisic to respond to his new Next Generation FIFA card.
"If you and Timo had a race, who would win?" Black had questioned. "I never want to doubt myself," Pulisic said. If I were to race Werner, I believe it would be close, but Timo is fast. In FIFA 22, I'd say his higher pace attribute is quite true when compared to mine."
The Chelsea forward was overjoyed to be given his new FIFA 22 Next Generation card. When he looked at a few of his attribute points that he thought were unjust, though, his competitive instinct kicked in. Pulisic joked that a few of his figures could have been a touch higher. Later in the video, the American international assembled his ideal 5-a-side team, which included Chelsea and Premier League players from the past.
PULISIC FOCUSED TO PROVE FIFA 22 WRONG
The Chelsea winger was featured on FIFA 22's Next-Gen card as a promising player. With the most recent edition, the 23-year-old received an overall grade of 83. Pulisic acknowledges that there are aspects of his game where he believes he can improve.
Pulisic has missed a total of 42 games due to injuries in the two and a half seasons since joining Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund. In 83 appearances in all competitions, he has scored 19 goals for the club. Pulisic is one of the team's most valuable assets when he is healthy. Pulisic has a FIFA shooting rating of 72. He's also rated 79 for his vertical leap as someone who can dunk a basketball. In terms of defence, the USMNT player has a rating of 38, which he is dissatisfied with. "I think I do quite well defensively," Pulisic remarked regarding his defensive ranking. It's usual for an aggressive player, although it may be higher. Everyone on our team plays excellent defence. That appears to be a little low."
